I have reinstalled probably about times now rebooting, flushing dns, renewing IP, running Ccleaner, all with my firewall completely disabled and raiderzz antivirus services stopped. Page 2 of 3. I didn't think I'd done anything to warrant inviting a security breach lately, but then I realized it could be GameGuard.
Gxmeguard, I could be wrong about the association, but if I find out otherwise then I'll report back. First of all, let me make something clear. It does NOT grant the game access to your operating system or files, only the privaledge to close down programs and prevent certain actions from being carried out while you're playing a game.
To add to my previous post for anyone else reading, thousands of people play games with GG and don't seem to have issues with it, and GG isn't flagged by most all?

The worst that could happen is you can't close the game out if it starts wigging out on you. I assume you've run through this and short of that and uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling, there's not much else to do.

After many years, we are finally looking at news of a new official release. I did some quick web searches and despite the general lack of technical information about GG itself, the general consensus raidderz that it IS invasive and at the very least acts like a "rootkit". Of course, now I'm grasping at straws.
